多益TOEIC

My teaching philosophy is based on my belief that the activities of reading and writing help us construct meaning from our experiences by prompting us to think critically about our world; reading and writing challenge us to live rather than simply to exist. The study of English, therefore, makes us better readers and writers of human experience. To communicate this view to my students, I practice a subjective approach to composition and literature derived in part from reader response theory.

Learning English is like being in a relationship or keeping fit because we need to spend more time with it and learn it on a regular basis. The more time and efforts we devote, the greater progress we have. Don’t be shy or feel ashamed when making grammatical mistakes. Speak up and have fun with every teacher in every class. Good luck.

My teaching philosophy has evolved from my teaching experiences in both Taiwan and the United States.  It has evolved from my experiences teaching students of all ages/grades, from kindergarteners, junior high school and high school students to university students, and adults with and without university degrees.  It has evolved from teaching learners with the lowest level of language control, to ones with very advanced language skillsets. But, most importantly, my teaching philosophy has evolved not from what I have taught but, instead, what I have learned while teaching.
